What are Non-Surgical Lip Fillers?

Non-surgical lip enhancement or lip fillers are suitable for anyone who would like fuller lips, or lip proportion correction. As you get older, your skin will change. You lose hydration as well as facial fat, skin elasticity reduces due to the degradation of collagen and skin becomes more fragile to the environment. Because of these natural skin changes, over time, the volume of youthful skin begins to diminish, you will start to evolve more wrinkles and folds in your skin. You will develop wrinkles around your mouth, your cheekbones will start to sink and your smile lines and jayline will drop. With lip fillers you can get your youthful appearance back with a short and pain free treatment. Dermal fillers are a safe and effective procedure to help smooth out problem areas and tackle signs of skin ageing.

The lip fillers are made of naturally occurring hylaruonic acid and are available in a range of densities to create a soft and subtle luscious lip or a full voluptuous result. The results are immediate and last 6-15 months, depending on which filler is used.

How is the Treatment Administered?

We numb you with numbing cream or with a full dental block (numbing injections) to ensure your treatment is totally pain free. The lip fillers are then injected into the lips with very fine needles to ensure minimal discomfort and bruising, allowing us to sculpt the lips to the desired shape and fullness.

In many cases, we will use a round, blunt ended micro cannula to deliver the product to the entire lips with one tiny entry point either side of the mouth without the need to use any needles. The benefits of this is you are extremely unlikely to have any bruising afterwards.

It is normal to expect some mild swelling post procedure that can last 24-48 hours, although placing ice packs on the areas will relieve this.

If bruising does occur, it is usually mild and transient. We can use blunt micro cannulas (tiny tubes) instead of needles to administer the treatment that reduces the risk of any trauma, swelling, or bruising. You can immediately return to your daily activities.

Yes please do. We work with you to achieve the desired effect and we never overfill lips. For those wishing to achieve a larger lip, we suggest a maximum of 1-1.5ml placed in any one session to allow the tissues to slowly and naturally expand and reach the best outcome without creating lumps, bumps and unevenness.

Yes, in the unlikely event you are not happy with the appearance of your lips, the products we use are all natural hylaruonic acid and can be dissolved completely, though we rarely if ever have to do this. 

Dr Yusra routinely corrects ‘bad work’ done elsewhere, and can dissolve wrongly placed or lumpy filler and re-do the treatment where necessary.

September 2023: I’ve been going to Dr Yusra’s clinic for the last nine months and can honestly say the change in my skin is so apparent that people on Teams calls at work tell me I’m glowing. Dr Lauren has been doing my skin treatments since May with Co2 laser (following secret pro with Olivia) and 3 rounds of subcision with skin boosters. Dr Lauren takes time to explain the science behind the treatments before we do them so I have a realistic idea of the healing and results process. Dr Yusra is also always on hand for any queries too and as soon as you enter the Liverpool clinic, you’re given such a warm and friendly greeting by the team. Despite it being far from me, it is without a doubt worth the drive to get high quality results. Update: I've had two sessions of SecretPro with Olivia and can see a huge difference in my skin so far. Olivia is so professional, patient and took the time to go through the process before and after treatment to ensure I was comfortable. Couldn't recommend Olivia and the team at Dr Yusra's enough! I had 3 areas of Botox as well as masseter Botox with Dr Emily and she is so lovely, listens to any queries you have (even if you think it’s a silly question) and puts you at ease through your procedure. I have a lot of pain in my jaw when eating and grinding my teeth in my sleep, Dr Emily was able to talk me through the procedure for helping this and since having masseter Botox I haven’t had pain while eating and there’s no pain when I wake up. Would definite recommend the clinic and Dr Emily.

Me and my sister have recently had 2 treatments with the lovely Holly who is one of the skin therapists at the clinic, and we loved getting our treatments by her!! she was fantastic and stayed so professional and caring through out the treatments.. and quickly put us at ease as we were abit nervous to begin with! All I can say is you're in good hands here and I cannot recommend Dr Yusra’s clinic enough! all the staff members are so kind and accommodating cant wait to come back for more treatments x

I have had treatments from Dr Yusra and team over the past few years and despite having to travel quite a distance for this clinic it is 10000% worth the journey.
