What is Non Surgical Rhinoplasty?
A medical rhinoplasty is a corrective treatment to straighten the nose, performed with medical intervention (injections to the nose) instead of surgery. It is essentially a nose job without the surgery. We often see patients who say that humps and bumps on their nose or drooping tip affects their confidence and well being. For those patients, correcting a pre existing deformity significantly improves their self esteem and a non surgical nose job would be the perfect solution for them.
The procedure involves using a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid which is naturally occurring and non animal based. Your natural enzymes will slowly break it down over time when you will see a gradual return of your original nose shape and when this happens, you can simply repeat the procedure.
A consultation and assessment always takes place before treatment to understand your requirements and to ensure we give you the bespoke result you desire and that suits your face. The procedure can be performed on the same day and you will be ready to leave the same day. This would not be possible if you have a surgical nose job.
How does it work?
The medical rhinoplasty is an alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty where we use long lasting dermal fillers injected in strategic points in the nose to straighten the nose, correct deformities, irregularities or bumps on the nose, and lift the tip of the nose and define it. It is particularly great for bumps on the bridge of the nose or a downward drooping tip and a great alternative to costly surgery. With minimal downtime, it takes minutes to do. Instant results mean you can walk straight out of the clinic and back to your normal daily activities.
The dermal filler is natural and non animal based. Results last on average 12-18 months as the filler is naturally broken down slowly over time and your nose returns to its original shape.

How is the Treatment Administered?
The dermal filler is injected into the nose with a very fine needle to ensure minimal pain. The areas we inject depends on your original nose shape, but can be three-points, four points, five points or six points, depending on your particular requests. The way in which we expertly inject them allows us to make a nose straighter and thus look smaller! It takes about 5-15 minutes to do and the results are instant, giving you a beautiful nose immediately.
Side effects may include minor redness, bruising or swelling on the nose, though this is much less than any surgical procedure and transient.

The cost of the procedure is from £595 and will depend on complexity of the nose and the type of dermal filler we use. Do note the cost is less at the Liverpool clinic and stated on the prices page. We stock a range of fillers and usually use Teoxane Ultradeep or Juvederm Voluma for this treatment, although it depends on the nose shape and desired outcome. Dr Yusra will choose the right filler for you.
You can immediately return to your normal daily activities with no or little sign that you have had anything done! Aftercare includes avoiding touching the nose or wearing make up for 12 hours and avoiding wearing glasses or sunglasses for 1 week whilst the gel sets. Avoid sunbathing, sauna or steam rooms and lasers or facials for 2 weeks after treatment. Any bruising that appears, though this is rare and usually very mild, can be covered with concealer after 12 hours. We also advise avoiding dental treatment for 2 weeks post treatment and avoiding heavy exercise for this period as well. 1 in 10 patients may need to return for a top up after the 4 week mark depending on the nose and tissue type to touch up the nose once the swelling dissipates. This is included in the treatment cost and is free of charge if needed.
Yes it is, but this is a complex area and an advanced procedure with risks involved. These are discussed in depth with you at your appointment before proceeding. Risks of complications are low and our internal audit demonstrates incredible success rates with no serious complications, though complications can happen even in the most astute of hands. Some minimal bruising and swelling is not uncommon, though the extent is significantly less than any surgical procedure. Dermal fillers are made of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid which is dissolvable and reversible, though this is rarely ever required.
