This is an alternative to porcelain veneers and involves placing a white filling material which is ‘bonded’ onto your original tooth without the need to shave, damage or file down the original tooth, and shaped according to what you require. The colour can be matched to your original tooth or a whiter shade can be used to lengthen the teeth or make alterations to the size, shape and position of your teeth. Treatment is often done in one session without the need for needles, thus making it an attractive option to those who are needle phobic or want a semi-reversible treatment. They can pick up stain over time and so although they are permanent, do require maintenance and replacement often between 5-10 years after placement.
Cost is between £300-400 per tooth.
Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of ceramic or porcelain which are stuck to the surface of the tooth to recreate the natural look of teeth, and is the best material of choice for those looking to change tooth shape, size, and/or colour with a shine that matches the shine of natural teeth. They often do require shaving of the original tooth to make space for the porcelain and requires 2 visits to the dentist. Costs are from approximately 600 per tooth. They do not pick up stain and are a good long term solution, often lasting over 10 years before replacement maybe needed.
This is the latest in dental technology, where a removable orthodontic appliance is used
to align upper and lower front teeth in as little as 6 weeks.
It is one of the fastest, safest and most cost effective way to correct crowding and
malalignment in one arch. The appliance is usually worn for 16 hours a day and most
cases are completed between 6-16 weeks. This is ideal for those who want a quick, safe
and inexpensive way to achieve a beautiful smile.
We offer the ABB approach to the Inman Aligner which includes: ‘Aligning, Bleaching
and Bonding’ for a complete smile make over. Here we provide the Inman aligner to
correct crowding, followed by whitening to brighten dull smiles, and if necessary, use the
latest white filling material to create the perfect tooth shape in edge bonding.
The Inman aligner has been featured in Marie Claire magazine and has been called
the ‘Wonder Brace … The results are amazing’ www.marieclaire.co.uk
