What are Non-Surgical Lip Fillers?
Non-surgical lip enhancement or lip fillers are suitable for anyone who would like fuller lips, or lip proportion correction. As you get older, your skin will change. You lose hydration as well as facial fat, skin elasticity reduces due to the degradation of collagen and skin becomes more fragile to the environment. Because of these natural skin changes, over time, the volume of youthful skin begins to diminish, you will start to evolve more wrinkles and folds in your skin. You will develop wrinkles around your mouth, your cheekbones will start to sink and your smile lines and jayline will drop. With lip fillers you can get your youthful appearance back with a short and pain free treatment. Dermal fillers are a safe and effective procedure to help smooth out problem areas and tackle signs of skin ageing.
The lip fillers are made of naturally occurring hylaruonic acid and are available in a range of densities to create a soft and subtle luscious lip or a full voluptuous result. The results are immediate and last 6-15 months, depending on which filler is used.
How is the Treatment Administered?
We numb you with numbing cream or with a full dental block (numbing injections) to ensure your treatment is totally pain free. The lip fillers are then injected into the lips with very fine needles to ensure minimal discomfort and bruising, allowing us to sculpt the lips to the desired shape and fullness.
In many cases, we will use a round, blunt ended micro cannula to deliver the product to the entire lips with one tiny entry point either side of the mouth without the need to use any needles. The benefits of this is you are extremely unlikely to have any bruising afterwards.
It is normal to expect some mild swelling post procedure that can last 24-48 hours, although placing ice packs on the areas will relieve this.
If bruising does occur, it is usually mild and transient. We can use blunt micro cannulas (tiny tubes) instead of needles to administer the treatment that reduces the risk of any trauma, swelling, or bruising. You can immediately return to your daily activities.

Yes, in the unlikely event you are not happy with the appearance of your lips, the products we use are all natural hylaruonic acid and can be dissolved completely, though we rarely if ever have to do this.
Dr Yusra routinely corrects ‘bad work’ done elsewhere, and can dissolve wrongly placed or lumpy filler and re-do the treatment where necessary.
